Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Claudio Caniggia took the kick off in the first half of the match. When Zhuang Fan Zhen came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the SANFINS VLP fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zhuang Fan Zhen couldn't finish the play. When the match had gone on for 9 minutes, Claudio Caniggia put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Joaquin Gayoso. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhuang Fan Zhen in the 11th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Camilo Franco got a free kick in the 13th minute. Joaquin Gayoso made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Zhuang Fan Zhen sent off a good shot on target. In the 24th minute SANFINS VLP were awarded a corner. Basílio Silveira went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Basílio Silveira almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso did a great save. In the 25th minute, Danilo Fiúza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Joaquin Gayoso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zhuang Fan Zhen, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. When Francisco Seco fell near the penalty area in the 33rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Francisco Seco a yellow card for diving instead. In the 33rd match minute, Uruguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francisco Seco to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 39th minute of play forced SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper David Prada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SANFINS VLP's Harry Meikleham got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 41st minute the ball was on its way in behind SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper David Prada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 42 minutes SANFINS VLP's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Cazalla who took care of the corner kick. Arturo Carvallo made a great header on Uruguay's corner, it was just that SANFINS VLP's David Prada managed to reach the ball for a save. Joaquin Gayoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zhuang Fan Zhen in the 43rd minute of the match. Claudio Caniggia who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 47thth minute tested the skills of Joaquin Gayoso when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francisco Seco to make the kick off. After 51 minutes of play, SANFINS VLP's Claudio Caniggia made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! David Prada stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Seco's shot from short distance in the 55th minute. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Camilo Franco got a free kick in the 69th minute. 75 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Claudio Caniggia came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Uruguay were awarded a corner. Jaime Cazalla went to the cornerflag to take it. Joaquin Gayoso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Caniggia in the 80th minute of play. The supporters of Uruguay booed when SANFINS VLP was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Silveira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uruguay were awarded a corner in the 83th minute after SANFINS VLP's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jaime Cazalla took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Jaime Cazalla got away a dangerous shot. Despite this David Prada quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. When Kevin Carballal fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Uruguay's protests and gave Kevin Carballal a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SANFINS VLP booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kevin Carballal didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Basílio Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot. SANFINS VLP's supporters rose to their feet, but Basílio Silveira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 88 minutes into the match, SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper David Prada had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. Kevin Carballal was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 94 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 94th minute of the game. One of Uruguay:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of SANFINS VLP:s goal. Joaquin Gayoso had in the 96thth minute some difficulties stopping Basílio Silveira's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Uruguay players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SANFINS VLP.
