Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Claudio Caniggia got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute Claudio Caniggia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudio Caniggia received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Jonathan Ferrant came out and tried to block the shot, but Claudio Caniggia slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 4th minute. Zhuang Fan Zhen was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 8th minute. SANFINS VLP's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudio Caniggia in the 10th minute. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Prada having to interfere. In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 17th minute, Tomas Illescas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Venezuela fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. 邵斌昂 received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. A very good chance for a goal. In the 34th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Prada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to SANFINS VLP getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Harry Meikleham hit a great ball. The audience cheered when Tomas Illescas's long shot passed David Prada's right side. It was 3-2, 37 minutes into the match. In the 40th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Venezuela from getting a goal against them. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zhuang Fan Zhen in the 46th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. If Claudio Caniggia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. David Prada made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 61st minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Caniggia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Claudio Caniggia in the 68th minute of play. After 70 minutes of play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. David Prada was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, SANFINS VLP's Angelo Nogueira got a free kick in the 73rd minute. David Prada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. David Prada came out of the goal in the 74th minute to try and stop a shot by Venezuela's Patricio Costa. But to his dismay, Patricio Costa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. After a defensive mix-up in SANFINS VLP's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. David Prada came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Claudio Caniggia in the 85th minute of play. After 88 minutes, Alex Chicote mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the SANFINS VLP players grew even worse after the yellow card. Venezuela:s Jonathan Ferrant showed great skill when he stopped Basílio Silveira:s penalty. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 93 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SANFINS VLP the free kick. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without David Prada having to interfere. Venezuela's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
