The corner led to SANFINS VLP's Eduardo Viana getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. 17 minutes into the game, Daniel Zorita cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. David Prada was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Primitivo Andino got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Felix Montenegro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ecuador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felix Montenegro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Daniel Zorita might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over David Prada. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Daniel Zorita ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the SANFINS VLP defense, Daniel Zorita kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of David Prada. The SANFINS VLP fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that David Prada should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 39th minute of play forced SANFINS VLP's goalkeeper David Prada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 41st match minute, Ecuador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sancho to maneuver through the defense. 46 minutes into the game, Valdemar Setúbal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SANFINS VLP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Daniel Zorita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 64th minute, Ecuador's Cristian Sancho dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. 70 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Zhuang Fan Zhen came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
