Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Traian Balaban in the 5th minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind USA's goalkeeper Marco Day, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Marco Day came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Buzău's Leonard Aanuţei. But to his dismay, Leonard Aanuţei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Monty Rogers in the 12th minute of play. Marco Day took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonard Aanuţei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 23rd minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Baldovin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 23rd minute, Monty Rogers ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gheorghe Baldovin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 32nd minute, Dumitru Cornoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the game, Monty Rogers cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Gheorghe Baldovin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 39th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gheorghe Baldovin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edward Mcdonald hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Vintilă Stoicea hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Monty Rogers struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Gheorghe Baldovin didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for USA. Gheorghe Baldovin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 46th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cassius Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, USA's Cassius Byrne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gheorghe Baldovin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. With a little luck, FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin got control of the ball when Monty Rogers tried to sneak it across the goal line. Gheorghe Baldovin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Monty Rogers in the 60th minute of the match. When USA's Cassius Byrne, in the 63rd minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for USA. FC Buzău's Gheorghe Baldovin proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save FC Buzău from getting a goal against them. 68 minutes into the match, Leonard Aanuţei had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marco Day. USA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Leonard Aanuţei was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Gheorghe Baldovin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Mcdonald in the 75th minute of play. Monty Rogers fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gheorghe Baldovin having to interfere. USA made a substitution. Marco Baker replaced Edward Mcdonald. Traian Balaban struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Marco Day didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. Marco Day was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 94th minute, Marco Baker got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. USA were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
