Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Francisco Seco started the match with the kick off. Candelaria FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 3rd minute, when Maximiliano Escribano scored to the left of an out of position Marco Peli, making the score, 1-0. 6 minutes into the game, Alberto Gisbert recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Marco Peli. Alberto Gisbert showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. 10 minutes in the game Jorge Sainz did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Francisco Seco. Maximiliano Escribano was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 11th minute. Uruguay's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 13 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Marco Peli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 14th minute, Francisco Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Peli was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alberto Gisbert during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Candelaria FC booed when Uruguay was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jorge Sainz made in the 19th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Camilo Franco however managed to control. Marco Peli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Camilo Franco went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-0 was the resulting score. Marco Peli didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jorge Sainz went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-0 was the resulting score. Jorge Sainz made in the 28th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Francisco Seco. Marco Peli made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute, Francisco Seco reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marco Peli. The goal made the score 6-0. Francisco Seco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 34thth minute tested the skills of Marco Peli when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Marco Peli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Gisbert in the 36th minute of play. In the 37th minute, Maximiliano Escribano reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Marco Peli. The goal made the score 7-0. Camilo Franco could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Marco Peli made a huge save. Marco Peli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 42nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Maximiliano Escribano in the 43rd minute of play forced Candelaria FC's goalkeeper Marco Peli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Alberto Gisbert shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marco Peli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 47 minutes into the match, Candelaria FC's goal looked a bit too open when Maximiliano Escribano came free, but Marco Peli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ruperto Abeita made a kick off. Marco Peli came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Uruguay's Francisco Seco. But to his dismay, Francisco Seco quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 8-0. Marco Peli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th minute, Ruperto Abeita hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arturo Carvallo made in the 58th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Maximiliano Escribano however managed to control. In the 58th minute, Maximiliano Escribano left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. Marco Peli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 61st minute of the match. In the 62nd minute, Maximiliano Escribano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Peli was frozen by the shot and now it was 10-0. After some careless play in the Candelaria FC defense, Francisco Seco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marco Peli. The Candelaria FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marco Peli should have stopped the shot. Marco Peli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Seco in the 81st minute of play forced Candelaria FC's goalkeeper Marco Peli to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marco Peli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano in the 82nd minute of play. Camilo Franco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marco Peli having to interfere. In the 85th minute, Francisco Seco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Marco Peli was frozen by the shot and now it was 14-0. Marco Peli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 97 minutes into the match, Francisco Seco notched a goal, 17-0, to the right of Candelaria FC's Marco Peli. Marco Peli was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. There was no doubt that Uruguay were the better team. Uruguay's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
