Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. The throw-in from Thomas Ahlstedt in the 20th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Uruguay's Alberto Gisbert. Witalis Merski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francisco Seco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 30 minutes into the match, Uruguay's goal looked a bit too open when Thomas Johansson came free, but Joaquin Gayoso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 31 minutes of play, Pattaya Dolphins F.C's Mikael Olsson made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sune Kellberg came free with the goalkeeper in the 36th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Joaquin Gayoso could save by the left post. Pattaya Dolphins F.C were awarded a corner in the 37th minute after Uruguay's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Karl-Michael Hammarbäck took the corner. After taking down the ball on Pattaya Dolphins F.C's corner Karl-Michael Hammarbäck fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Joaquin Gayoso quite easily take care of the ball. After 41 minutes, Thomas Ahlstedt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pattaya Dolphins F.C and the Uruguay players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Uruguay booed when Pattaya Dolphins F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thomas Ahlstedt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 43rd minute Thomas Johansson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquin Gayoso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mikael Olsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

The wind increased when Francisco Seco made the kick off in the second half. Sune Kellberg kicked well hit freekick during the 51st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Uruguay's zone, Thomas Johansson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joaquin Gayoso came out of the goal and Thomas Johansson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sune Kellberg in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquin Gayoso prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sune Kellberg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sune Kellberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere. Håkan Apelquist hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 67 minutes into the match, Pattaya Dolphins F.C's Sune Kellberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joaquin Gayoso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 68th minute Pattaya Dolphins F.C were awarded a corner. Karl-Michael Hammarbäck went to the cornerflag to take it. Joaquin Gayoso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Maximiliano Escribano kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Thomas Johansson struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pattaya Dolphins F.C. Sune Kellberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquin Gayoso having to interfere.
