Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sune Svartengren in the 3rd minute of the match. Harry Higuita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 8th minute of play. Joel Gaona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th minute, Sven-Arne Berglund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Harry Higuita having to interfere. Harry Higuita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 26th minute of play. Dante Lacasa made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when Nate Drakenborg sent off a good shot on target. 29 minutes into the match, Nate Drakenborg had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dante Lacasa. Mexico's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Nate Drakenborg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. 33 minutes had been played when some careless play by Aro FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Joel Gaona was slow to take the kick. During this time Mexico's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Mexico's corner Joel Gaona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Harry Higuita quite easily take care of the ball. Lautaro Mancebo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Aro FC's Isac Muntian got a free kick in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lautaro Mancebo in the 41st minute of play forced Aro FC's goalkeeper Harry Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sune Svartengren in the 42nd minute of play. The supporters of Mexico booed when Aro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Isac Muntian didn't get a good kick on the ball.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Gaona to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Mexico defense, Nate Drakenborg kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dante Lacasa. The Mexico fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dante Lacasa should have stopped the shot. With a little luck, Aro FC's Harry Higuita got control of the ball when Lautaro Mancebo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lautaro Mancebo took the ball and in the 59 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Harry Higuita. Harry Higuita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Lautaro Mancebo kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Harry Higuita. That made the score 2-2 in the 64 minute of play. In the 71st minute Nate Drakenborg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isac Muntian in the 73rd minute of play. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nate Drakenborg, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Aro FC's Harry Higuita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 79th minute of play. When Joel Gaona came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joel Gaona couldn't finish the play. Dante Lacasa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sune Svartengren in the 84th minute of the match. Harry Higuita made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Joel Gaona sent off a good shot on target. Lautaro Mancebo took the ball and in the 88 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Harry Higuita. Harry Higuita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-3. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nate Drakenborg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
