The referee showed Esa Garcha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Esa Garcha kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Arnulfo Kinsen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 14th minute of play. In the 14th minute, Alberto Tafalla left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Mexico fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Dante Lacasa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Alberto Kempes, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Laurita FC's Arnulfo Kinsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 44th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Lautaro Mancebo made a precise shot to the right of Arnulfo Kinsen. Laurita FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The wind increased when Mario Alberto Kempes made the kick off in the second half. Dante Lacasa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Alberto Kempes in the 55th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alberto Tafalla in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Arnulfo Kinsen saved Laurita FC from getting behind. In the 91st minute, Lautaro Mancebo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Alberto Tafalla came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Mexico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alberto Tafalla couldn't finish the play. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the final whistle sounded Mexico left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Laurita FC.
