The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fortunato Froněk in the 3rd minute of play forced USA's goalkeeper Marco Day to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute Monty Rogers shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Natalio Peter saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 8 minutes into the match, Monty Rogers notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Natalio Peter. Natalio Peter was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Natalio Peter took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cassius Byrne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 18th minute, Hugon Brzakala made a precise shot to the right of Marco Day. USA's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 21 played minutes Gocław Wilga Warszawa got a freekick which was hit by Michal Jaraczewski. Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Natalio Peter played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cassius Byrne in the 22nd minute of play. 28 minutes into the match, Gocław Wilga Warszawa's goal looked a bit too open when Monty Rogers came free, but Natalio Peter reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Marco Day made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hugon Brzakala in the 31st minute. In the 34thth minute of the game Hugon Brzakala who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but USA's Marco Day was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The supporters of USA booed when Gocław Wilga Warszawa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michal Jaraczewski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Natalio Peter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Monty Rogers in the 38th minute of play. 41 minutes in the game Raphael Moore did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Edward Mcdonald. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Wincenty Walczak was substituted for Maciej Matela. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cassius Byrne stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Natalio Peter proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Gocław Wilga Warszawa from getting a goal against them. Adam Chazon hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. With a little luck, Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Natalio Peter got control of the ball when Sam Campbell tried to sneak it across the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, USA's goal looked a bit too open when Patryk Popowicz came free, but Marco Day reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natalio Peter made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Khalid Parry in the 89th minute of play. 94 minutes into the match, Sam Campbell notched a goal, 2-3, to the right of Gocław Wilga Warszawa's Natalio Peter. Natalio Peter was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. USA's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
