Sonny Alén showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Julian Murillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kamil Momodu to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Peru's Anthony Alvarado got a free kick in the 50th minute. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmet Nafiz Özilter in the 51st minute of play. Arif Burak Saygur made in the 53rd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Şafak Taze immediately put the ball in play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Julian Murillo in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sonny Alén saved Bornova from getting behind.
