Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albinus Dusgaard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 7 minutes, Lautaro Puig managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Costa Rica's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lautaro Puig was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Werner Veisner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 16 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Juan Rubio. Skovbølling's Werner Veisner got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Skovbølling booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 23 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Werner Veisner came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albinus Dusgaard in the 24th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albinus Dusgaard in the 27th minute of play forced Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Skovbølling's Werner Veisner got a free kick in the 27th minute. Benito Sanz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Albinus Dusgaard's shot from short distance in the 30th minute. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Werner Veisner, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Skovbølling's Franz Bredby pulled a muscle in his leg after 35 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 35 minutes, Alan Moruga mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Costa Rica and the Skovbølling players grew even worse after the yellow card. Skovbølling made a substitution. Sixten Varkov replaced Franz Bredby. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aaron Alcocer got free with Otto Vennestrøm in the 39th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Lautaro Puig hit a great ball. In the 47th minute Albinus Dusgaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benito Sanz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Werner Veisner to strike the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Werner Veisner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Skovbølling's supporters rose to their feet, but Werner Veisner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Benito Sanz made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Albinus Dusgaard sent off a good shot on target. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Werner Veisner showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. When the match was over Skovbølling could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Costa Rica throughout the match.
