Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Edmundo Espiga started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Milagros Cabal kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. When Edmundo Espiga came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Honduras fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmundo Espiga couldn't finish the play. In the 6th minute Moises Tafalla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lara Peñaranda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edmundo Espiga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Luís Guilherme Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Beneficiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Guilherme Cunha couldn't finish the play. Lautaro Navarro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luís Guilherme Cunha went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 19th minute, Sebastian Villa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 20 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Esteban Carvallo. When Luís Guilherme Cunha came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Beneficiente fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Guilherme Cunha couldn't finish the play. Edmundo Espiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Lara Peñaranda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Beneficiente's Laércio Aguiar got a free kick in the 32nd minute. 33 minutes into the match, Beneficiente's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Villa came free, but Lara Peñaranda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Honduras's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Edmundo Espiga in the 34th minute. A well-hit corner resulted in Milagros Cabal heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. Sidney Carneiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Lautaro Navarro made a huge save. In the 42nd minute, Edmundo Espiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 44 minutes, Luís Guilherme Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Beneficiente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Guilherme Cunha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Luís Guilherme Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sidney Carneiro to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Beneficiente defense, Edmundo Espiga kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Lara Peñaranda. The Beneficiente fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Lara Peñaranda should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edmundo Espiga in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lara Peñaranda saved Beneficiente from getting behind. In the 60th minute, Luís Guilherme Cunha made a precise shot to the right of Lautaro Navarro. Honduras's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Valentín Carvallo hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Ivan Navarro hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When Esteban Carvallo fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Honduras's protests and gave Esteban Carvallo a yellow card for diving instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Honduras fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 68th minute. Penalty! Lautaro Navarro had in the 70thth minute some difficulties stopping Edgar Appel's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After having played for 72 minutes, Edmundo Espiga managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Honduras's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmundo Espiga was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Edmundo Espiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 78th minute Sidney Carneiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 82 played minutes Honduras got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Navarro. If Sidney Carneiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sidney Carneiro during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 93 played minutes Beneficiente got a freekick which was hit by Sidney Carneiro.
