Alkın Uğursoy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Gaona in the 14th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Iskandar de Lara notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mexico's Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A sloppy throw-in by Leonardo Leoz in the 30th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by 1901 Black Stockings F.C.'s Bernardinho Eger. 32 minutes into the match, 1901 Black Stockings F.C.'s goalkeeper Alkın Uğursoy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lautaro Mancebo. If Iskandar de Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 37 minutes into the game, Iskandar de Lara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Dante Lacasa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Facundo Cadaval scored 1-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alkın Uğursoy, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Alberto Tafalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Samuel Granberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Dante Lacasa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Iskandar de Lara to make the kick off. The throw-in from Leonardo Leoz in the 58th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by 1901 Black Stockings F.C.'s Batıkan Hazar. Alkın Uğursoy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Lautaro Mancebo in the 65th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alkın Uğursoy prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Murat Selim Enginsoy managed to get in a good position for a shot. 1901 Black Stockings F.C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Murat Selim Enginsoy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dante Lacasa breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 69th minute, Hasan Ali Ünalmış hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Alberto Tafalla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, 1901 Black Stockings F.C.'s Murat Selim Enginsoy got a free kick in the 72nd minute. If Luca Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 1901 Black Stockings F.C.'s attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hasan Ali Ünalmış in the 79th minute. The corner led 1901 Black Stockings F.C.'s Hasan Ali Ünalmış to fire away a dangerous shot which Dante Lacasa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 82 minutes into the game, Leonardo Leoz threw the ball into play from the sideline. 1901 Black Stockings F.C.'s Batıkan Hazar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. An unexpectedly hard shot by Facundo Cadaval in the 84th minute of play forced 1901 Black Stockings F.C.'s goalkeeper Alkın Uğursoy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 86th minute, 1901 Black Stockings F.C.'s Iskandar de Lara ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dante Lacasa. Dante Lacasa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-4. 1901 Black Stockings F.C. made a substitution. Akis Michopoulos replaced Murat Selim Enginsoy. 1901 Black Stockings F.C.'s Şansal Taşcıoğlu was substituted for Resul Suel.
