Edu Melo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bruno Antognoni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 20th minute of play. After 22 played minutes REAL ITALIANI F.C got a freekick which was hit by Edu Melo. REAL ITALIANI F.C's Adriano Friggieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davide Spadoni in the 23rd minute of play. Adriano Friggieri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alvaro Tolin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Adriano Friggieri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enzo Luongo in the 31st minute of the match. Edu Melo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Bruno Antognoni made a huge save. Edmondo Mandelli charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edmondo Mandelli the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Italy booed when REAL ITALIANI F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmondo Mandelli didn't get a good kick on the ball. 39 minutes into the match, REAL ITALIANI F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Luongo came free, but Adriano Friggieri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adriano Friggieri came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Italy's Enzo Luongo. But to his dismay, Enzo Luongo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. 43 minutes into the match, REAL ITALIANI F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Enzo Luongo came free, but Adriano Friggieri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Enzo Luongo in the 46th minute of play forced REAL ITALIANI F.C's goalkeeper Adriano Friggieri to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The REAL ITALIANI F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Italy were winning 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marcus Bittencourt to strike the kick off in the second half. REAL ITALIANI F.C's Adriano Friggieri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Natalucci in the 55th minute of play. Marcus Bittencourt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Antognoni having to interfere. Italy's Dino Grilli was substituted for Davide Spadoni. With his leg Adriano Friggieri managed to avoid a goal in the 75thth minute, when Italy's Alberigo Sessa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Adriano Friggieri showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bar Olo in the 81st minute of the match. Bruno Antognoni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eudoxio Nembro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 90th minute Italy were awarded a corner. Alvaro Tolin went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Enzo Luongo got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Adriano Friggieri quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 92 played minutes Italy got a freekick which was hit by Alberigo Sessa. 94 minutes into the match, Enzo Luongo had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Adriano Friggieri. REAL ITALIANI F.C's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Enzo Luongo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. When the final whistle sounded Italy left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than REAL ITALIANI F.C.
