Spectators: 47 (Terracing: 36, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mariano Lacasa kicked off to start the match. 4 minutes had been played when some careless play by REAL ITALIANI F.C's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Mariano Lacasa was slow to take the kick. During this time Chile's players had a chance to rest. Thiago Pliego showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcus Bittencourt, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Chile's Thiago Pliego played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peru Riguera in the 11th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marcus Bittencourt in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thiago Pliego prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Thiago Pliego made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peru Riguera in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute, Francisco Carballar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcus Bittencourt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Guillermo Fontirroig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chile's supporters rose to their feet, but Guillermo Fontirroig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Adriano Friggieri breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adriano Friggieri was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mariano Lacasa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 41 minute of play.

Edu Melo hit a great freekick 53 minutes into the match. Mariano Lacasa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mariano Lacasa in the 68th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adriano Friggieri saved REAL ITALIANI F.C from getting behind. When Mariano Lacasa came up free with the goalie in the 74th minute, the Chile fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mariano Lacasa couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marcus Bittencourt got free with Thiago Pliego in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The goalkeeper smacked the ball away after a great corner, but Francisco Carballar advanced and headed the ball into goal, 2-0 in the 85th minute. Edu Melo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thiago Pliego having to interfere. Mariano Lacasa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adriano Friggieri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. If Mariano Lacasa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After having played for 95 minutes, Orlando Casaus managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chile's supporters crossed their fingers, but Orlando Casaus was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. REAL ITALIANI F.C's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
