Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Joel Gaona started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Joel Gaona received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Matei Răducu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 4 played minutes Carpathians got a freekick which was hit by Ercan Sabahaddin. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luca Zorita in the 7th minute of play forced Carpathians's goalkeeper Matei Răducu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Matei Răducu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberto Tafalla in the 12th minute of play. In the 13th minute of the match Mexico got a corner. Carpathians's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Joel Gaona ran over to the corner to take the kick. Matei Răducu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carpathians's Matei Răducu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Gaona in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th minute Luca Zorita shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matei Răducu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the match, Mexico's Facundo Cadaval sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Matei Răducu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Joel Gaona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matei Răducu came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by Mexico's Alberto Tafalla. But to his dismay, Alberto Tafalla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gheorghe Ciurea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 37 played minutes Mexico got a freekick which was hit by Felix Luque. In the 38th minute Connor Hughes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lautaro Mancebo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 42 minutes into the match, Gheorghe Ciurea dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dante Lacasa, 1-1. The supporters of Carpathians booed when Mexico was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felix Luque didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Carpathians's Connor Hughes sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dante Lacasa narrowly saved just below the crossbar.

Carpathians made a substitution. Roque Arixo replaced Pär Öman. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gheorghe Ciurea to strike the kick off in the second half. Matei Răducu made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Alberto Tafalla sent off a good shot on target. Dante Lacasa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gheorghe Ciurea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mexico's Dante Lacasa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alin Nichitelea in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Alin Nichitelea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 66th minute Alin Nichitelea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Gaona fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matei Răducu having to interfere. Carpathians's Stelian Bălășescu was substituted for Gheorghe Ciurea. Luca Rouco kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. If Alin Nichitelea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
