Honduras's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a defensive mix-up in Honduras's zone, Denílson Tepedino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lautaro Navarro came out of the goal and Denílson Tepedino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 26 played minutes Proteu got a freekick which was hit by Denílson Tepedino. Armando Piacentini made in the 30th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tercero Segundo immediately put the ball in play. A collision led to Proteu getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Denílson Tepedino hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, Sebastian Villa made a precise shot to the right of Ulysses Donato. Proteu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. If Archie Ares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denílson Tepedino kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Qu Wei, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. In the 42nd minute Archie Ares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The throw-in from Christian Sancho in the 46th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Proteu's Armando Piacentini. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edmundo Espiga stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute, Proteu's Qu Wei ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Lautaro Navarro. Lautaro Navarro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Archie Ares, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Sebastian Villa hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, Qu Wei reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lautaro Navarro. The goal made the score 1-2. Moises Tafalla charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Moises Tafalla the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Moises Tafalla got a free kick in the 61st minute. Lautaro Navarro stood somewhat misplaced when Qu Wei came free in front of goal and shot 1-3 to the left of him in the 64 minute. Lautaro Navarro made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Qu Wei sent off a good shot on target. Lautaro Navarro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Qu Wei's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. Qu Weis short, quick shot in the 74thth minute got Lautaro Navarro to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Gernando Nunes made a great header on Proteu's corner, it was just that Honduras's Lautaro Navarro managed to reach the ball for a save. Qu Wei had several of the Honduras's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 77 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-4 score and a disappointed Lautaro Navarro as he didn't even see the shot coming. 82 minutes into the match, Honduras's goal looked a bit too open when Qu Wei came free, but Lautaro Navarro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Proteu's 毛明昆 slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Lautaro Navarro. That made the score 1-5 after 84 minutes of play. Lautaro Navarro didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 87th minute, which inside left pole to 1-6. Lautaro Navarro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Qu Wei, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute.
