The supporters of FK Partizani Tirana booed when Honduras was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Milagros Cabal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lautaro Navarro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eicke Brocker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard, long distance shot from Moises Tafalla flew over the goal. Sebastian Villa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Thorsten Benscheider tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Godwin Klöckner hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kajetan Meibeck made in the 20th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Honduras's Esteban Carvallo. Thorsten Benscheider made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmundo Espiga in the 29th minute of play. In the 32nd play minute Sebastian Villa came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Thorsten Benscheider. 1-0. 38 minutes into the game, Nico Zeitz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FK Partizani Tirana's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Honduras the free kick. In the 38th minute, Nico Zeitz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 41st minute, Edmundo Espiga fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Thorsten Benscheider, passed just outside the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edmundo Espiga got free with Thorsten Benscheider in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edmundo Espiga to strike the kick off in the second half. Sascha Hinz hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 59thth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FK Partizani Tirana's Thorsten Benscheider was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Edmundo Espiga struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. Thorsten Benscheider didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Honduras. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Edmundo Espiga put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Thorsten Benscheider. After a rather tough play, Honduras's Valentín Carvallo got a free kick in the 70th minute. A collision led to Honduras getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Milagros Cabal hit a great ball. Lautaro Navarro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hubert Simpson in the 78th minute. In the 80th minute Eicke Brocker shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lautaro Navarro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Honduras's Edmundo Espiga got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sebastian Villa in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thorsten Benscheider saved FK Partizani Tirana from getting behind. Lautaro Navarro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nico Zeitz in the 86th minute of the match. 89 minutes into the game, Kajetan Meibeck threw the ball into play from the sideline. Honduras's Luca Espinar quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. In the 92ndth minute of the game Edmundo Espiga who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FK Partizani Tirana's Thorsten Benscheider was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the referee ended the match the Honduras players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
