Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Ecuador's Daniel Zorita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valter Wallgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Ecuador's Daniel Zorita in the 8th minute got a chance for a shot 8th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Woopbongo's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Woopbongo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Gerdberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valter Wallgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 18th minute of play. Cristian Sancho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 28 minutes into the match, Woopbongo's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Zorita came free, but Valter Wallgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goal looked a bit too open when Ola Håkansson came free, but Julio Vera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Albohm might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Julio Vera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Edgar Albohm ran back to his position shaking his head. When Ola Håkansson came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Woopbongo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ola Håkansson couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, Ola Håkansson fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Julio Vera, passed just outside the right post. Ola Håkansson struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Julio Vera didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Woopbongo. The Woopbongo players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ecuador were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Ola Håkansson made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ola Håkansson in the 54th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Valter Wallgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristian Sancho's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Valter Wallgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cristian Sancho in the 57th minute. Ecuador's Julio Vera played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ola Håkansson in the 59th minute of play. Valter Wallgren made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Woopbongo getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Rutger Billberg hit a great ball. In the 70th minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valter Wallgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Woopbongo's Valter Wallgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Woopbongo from getting a goal against them. Daniel Zorita's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Valter Wallgren firmly grabbed it by the left post. The corner led to Ecuador's Luis Andino getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Valter Wallgren made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Cristian Sancho sent off a good shot on target. Ecuador's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
