Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Montenegro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Miromir Pazura breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Gumisie Rybnik defense, Cristian Sancho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Miromir Pazura. The Gumisie Rybnik fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miromir Pazura should have stopped the shot. Miromir Pazura showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luis Andino in the 38th minute of the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 41st minute, Agustín Saelices hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet as Gumisie Rybnik's Ksawery Pilarczyk slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Julio Vera. That made the score 1-2 after 42 minutes of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. After 78 minutes Gumisie Rybnik's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Zorita who took care of the corner kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ksawery Pilarczyk in the 79th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Gumisie Rybnik's Miromir Pazura got control of the ball when Felix Montenegro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Daniel Zorita fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miromir Pazura having to interfere.
