Thiago Pliego was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Selmo Illescas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Mariano Lacasa went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-3 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Prospero Perutxo in the 75th minute of play forced Chile's goalkeeper Thiago Pliego to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
