Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Ratowo's Dominik Domaracki started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Roch Marosz hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. 5 minutes into the game, Hugo Ferrant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ratowo the free kick. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eugeniusz Maruda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ratowo's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Axel Tasis scored to the left of an out of position Florin Niță, making the score, 1-0. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florin Niță having to interfere. Benito Sanz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wojciech Dulemba, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After 29 minutes, Witalis Hendzel mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ratowo and the Costa Rica players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Ratowo getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Witalis Hendzel hit a great ball. Wojciech Dulemba kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After 32 played minutes Costa Rica got a freekick which was hit by Abel Carballo. 34 minutes into the match, Ratowo's Slawomir Kaczorowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Eugeniusz Maruda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Benito Sanz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Axel Tasis made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when Ratowo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcin Lemiesz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Dominik Domaracki kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Florin Niță stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Axel Tasis's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Slawomir Kaczorowski in the 63rd minute of play. The audience was convinced that Axel Tasis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Florin Niță was relentless in the 67th minute of the game. In the 70th play minute Slawomir Kaczorowski came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Benito Sanz. 1-2. Ratowo made a substitution. Marian Chelebiyski replaced Leon Sadlowski. If Wojciech Dulemba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, Ratowo's Dominik Domaracki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Benito Sanz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Slawomir Kaczorowski took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Abel Carballo kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. With an all-out effort, Ratowo's Benito Sanz threw himself towards the right post 88 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Wojciech Dulemba, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Slawomir Kaczorowski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. During the 92nd minute of the match Hugo Ferrant completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Hugo Ferrant a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Hugo Ferrant got a free kick in the 92nd minute. In the 94th minute, Eugeniusz Maruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goalkeeper Benito Sanz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zbyszek Petka. Ratowo's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
