Silvio Bazil showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 26th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Daniel Zorita managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ecuador's supporters rose to their feet, but Daniel Zorita was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Silvio Bazil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guillermo Izquierdo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guillermo Izquierdo in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Julio Vera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 62ndth minute of the game Giovanni Arósio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ecuador's Julio Vera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After taking down the ball on Martin Palermo F.C.'s corner Serafin Manni fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Julio Vera quite easily take care of the ball. Enrico Giammarino hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 67th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. Guillermo Izquierdo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Sebastián Izquierdo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. In the 91st minute, Ruperto Porfirio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Giovanni Arósio kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Silvio Bazil didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Sancho went, in the 93rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score.
