The supporters of Venezuela booed when GynBsb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrézinho Goiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 11 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frederico Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 13th minute of play. In the 19th minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fellipe Cosme in the 21st minute. Paul Danielsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Fellipe Cosme tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fellipe Cosme got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 30 minutes into the match, Venezuela's Tomas Illescas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Frederico Bertassi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 31st minute Venezuela were awarded a corner. Tomas Illescas went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Venezuela's Tomas Illescas to fire away a dangerous shot which Frederico Bertassi despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 31 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Venezuela's Joshua Secada fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Frederico Bertassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 38 minutes, Fellipe Cosme put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vivaldo Fernandes in the 41st minute of the match. After 43 minutes, Patricio Costa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the GynBsb players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 43 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Patricio Costa. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Frederico Bertassi having to make a save. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomas Illescas to strike the kick off in the second half. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fellipe Cosme, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 minutes of play, GynBsb's Vivaldo Fernandes made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jonathan Ferrant was left in no man's land by his defense there! Frederico Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 62nd minute of play. In the 63rd minute of the match Venezuela got a corner. GynBsb's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Tomas Illescas ran over to the corner to take the kick. 67 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Tiso Posse came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. GynBsb's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Filipe Brito in the 68th minute. A very nice done corner allowed Augusto Leal to score against Jonathan Ferrant in Venezuela's goal. 4-0 after 69 minutes. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kauan Pena in the 71st minute of the match. In the 74th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederico Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind GynBsb's goalkeeper Frederico Bertassi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Fernandes in the 81st minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fellipe Cosme in the 82nd minute of the match. Frederico Bertassi made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 84th minute. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Fellipe Cosme sped through Venezuela's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a GynBsb's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Correa helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 92nd minute. Penalty! 93 minutes into the game, GynBsb's Vivaldo Fernandes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-0. Fellipe Cosme received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 98th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. GynBsb fully deserved thier win.
