After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Luis Andino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emilio Bibiano having to interfere. A collision led to Sabalero getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Adam Hızlı hit a great ball. 26 minutes into the match, Sabalero's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Emilio Bibiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luisito Marino was extremely unlucky when he, in the 28th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Emilio Bibiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Zorita in the 35th minute of play. In the 45th match minute, Sabalero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gürel Zeyni to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Daniel Zorita made the kick off in the second half. Daniel Zorita struck a weak shot in the 52nd minute. Emilio Bibiano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ecuador. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 54th minute after Sabalero's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Emilio Bibiano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 60 minutes into the match, Sabalero's goal looked a bit too open when Agustín Saelices came free, but Emilio Bibiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Sabalero's Emilio Bibiano got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 73rd minute. A nice corner shot did that Daniel Zorita got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Emilio Bibiano quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Emilio Bibiano made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. Daniel Zorita could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 84th minute of the match, but Emilio Bibiano made a huge save. Emilio Bibiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cristian Sanchos short, quick shot in the 95thth minute got Emilio Bibiano to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Sabalero.
