Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off. Emilio Bibiano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tomas Illescas, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 4th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Camilo Gaos to maneuver through the defense. 8 minutes into the game, Rômulo Guerra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Emilio Bibiano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomas Illescas in the 11th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Patricio Costa during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 12th minute, Patricio Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adam Hızlı received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Tomas Illescas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Adam Hızlı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 28th minute, Rômulo Guerra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jonathan Ferrant was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. In the 31st match minute, Sabalero was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermegildo Cibran to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant got control of the ball when Rômulo Guerra tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luisito Marino, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patricio Costa got his second yellow card in the match during the 43rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Patricio Costa hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Luisito Marino in the 45th minute. Emilio Bibiano showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 46th minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Celso Cibran hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Luisito Marino was the one to do the kick off. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jonathan Ferrant stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rômulo Guerra's shot from short distance in the 53rd minute. The audience was convinced that Tomas Illescas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Emilio Bibiano was relentless in the 55th minute of the game. 56 minutes into the match, Rômulo Guerra had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rômulo Guerra was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rômulo Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, Sabalero's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Emilio Bibiano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sabalero's Basilio Eneko was substituted for Luisito Marino. Basilio Eneko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rômulo Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basilio Eneko in the 79th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Sabalero's zone, Tomas Illescas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emilio Bibiano came out of the goal and Tomas Illescas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Basilio Eneko came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Camilo Gaos kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Honorio Stephen missed a clear chance of a goal when in the 88 minute of the game fired away a shot, but unfortunally the ball went out to the Jonathan Ferrant right hand side. Rômulo Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Jonathan Ferrant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Basilio Eneko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sabalero's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
