An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Tafalla in the 52nd minute of play forced Carapa FC's goalkeeper Braulio Manny to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Braulio Manny took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joel Gaona, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 57 minutes into the match, Carapa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Zorita came free, but Braulio Manny reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Mexico's Alberto Tafalla slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Braulio Manny. That made the score 1-1 after 62 minutes of play. In the 67th minute Rangel Machev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alberto Tafalla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Braulio Manny having to interfere. In the 73rd minute Lucas Ugutz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dante Lacasa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
