Levan Dost took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 16th minute, 김 윤 hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Milagros Fraga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Farid Mondragon, 1-1. Luz Tejedor struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Farid Mondragon didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Peru. In the 43rd minute Julian Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Farid Mondragon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Julian Murillo made the kick off in the second half. Farid Mondragon came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Peru's Eliseo Mina. But to his dismay, Eliseo Mina quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Luz Tejedor was slow to take the kick. During this time Peru's players had a chance to rest. Peru's Julian Murillo was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Farid Mondragon in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Farid Mondragon made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luz Tejedor in the 61st minute of play. Farid Mondragon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 1stanbuL FootbaLL CluB's Farid Mondragon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 70th minute of play. Rolando Noboa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacobo Refugio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Peru fully deserved thier win.
