In the 14th minute, Daniel Zorita ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angel Xacintu was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Daniel Zorita blasted a shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Angel Xacintu having to make a save. In the 22ndth minute of the game Daniel Zorita who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carhue's Angel Xacintu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Angel Xacintu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 23rd minute of play. Angel Xacintu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Igor Lluc kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Brent-Jan Kindermans in the 42nd minute of the match. Julio Vera didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Carhue's Brent-Jan Kindermans shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 1-2 in the ordered_time% minute. After the first half Ecuador were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

A collision led to Carhue getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Igor Lluc hit a great ball. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Luis Andino fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Angel Xacintu quite easily take care of the ball. After 74 played minutes Ecuador got a freekick which was hit by Juan Sebastián Puig. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Justo Egoitz in the 75th minute of the match. Camilo Gisbert made in the 77th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Luis Andino however managed to control. Carhue's Justo Egoitz got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Carhue's Angel Xacintu got control of the ball when Cristian Sancho tried to sneak it across the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Angel Xacintu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Petre Zărnescu's late challenge caught a Ecuador's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petre Zărnescu helped the player get up and apologised. After 89 played minutes Carhue got a freekick which was hit by Petre Zărnescu. A collision led to Ecuador getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Felix Montes hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Ecuador left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Carhue.
