Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Venezuela's Tomas Illescas in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rondo's goalie prevented a goal. Jonathan Ferrant stood somewhat misplaced when Jacco Hekman came free in front of goal and shot 2-0 to the left of him in the 30 minute. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnout Arends, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Orestis Lazarou showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Patricio Costa, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Venezuela's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jacco Hekman in the 59th minute of the match. Jose Correa hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Orestis Lazarou was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomas Illescas showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 64 minute of play. In the 66th minute, Patricio Costa fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Orestis Lazarou, passed just outside the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Charly Rusterholz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Charly Rusterholz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jacco Hekman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Orestis Lazarou read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. When Tomas Illescas came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Venezuela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Illescas couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the match, Rondo's goalkeeper Orestis Lazarou had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomas Illescas. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 90th minute. Venezuela's Tomas Illescas was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Orestis Lazarou in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 90 minutes, Rigoberto Mina managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rigoberto Mina was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charly Rusterholz in the 92nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Orestis Lazarou prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rondo had played much better football throughout.
