Valter Mellin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jonathan Ferrant read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes in the game Egon Ahlbom did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Alex Ahlrot. 12 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Valter Mellin. 23 minutes into the match, Cheetah Team's goal looked a bit too open when Tomas Illescas came free, but Claes Caspersson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute Tomas Illescas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claes Caspersson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute, Valter Mellin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Egon Ahlbom's late challenge caught a Venezuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Egon Ahlbom helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cheetah Team getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Egon Ahlbom hit a great ball. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fredrik Fors in the 42nd minute. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Fredrik Fors stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Fredrik Fors tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tomas Illescas made a kick off. Dick Forssell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Cheetah Team booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Salvador Gisbert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fredrik Fors fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. After 63 minutes, Dick Forssell mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cheetah Team and the Venezuela players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Venezuela booed when Cheetah Team was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dick Forssell didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Chicote kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valter Mellin, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. A sloppy throw-in by Egon Ahlbom in the 82nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Venezuela's Alex Chicote. 84 minutes into the game, Alex Chicote threw the ball into play from the sideline. Cheetah Team's Egon Ahlbom quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After a rather tough play, Cheetah Team's Egon Ahlbom got a free kick in the 87th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valter Mellin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
