Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) LaZuli's David Liberato started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. When David Liberato came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the LaZuli fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Liberato couldn't finish the play. Tomas Illescas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jorge Infante tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Liberato in the 12th minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zachariasz Dunajski in the 15th minute of play. LaZuli were awarded a corner in the 16th minute after Venezuela's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Henrique Durães took the corner. The corner led to LaZuli's Éder Almeida getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Liberato in the 21st minute of play. LaZuli's Zachariasz Dunajski got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of LaZuli booed when Venezuela was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Mariano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zachariasz Dunajski might have been able to make a better finish in the 33rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zachariasz Dunajski ran back to his position shaking his head. Jorge Infante made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 39th minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zachariasz Dunajski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jonathan Venegas got a free kick in the 53rd minute. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. In the 59th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Chicote to maneuver through the defense. Mariano Galvão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 66 played minutes Venezuela got a freekick which was hit by Jose Correa. In the 68th minute, LaZuli's Joan Queralt ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joan Queralt in the 72nd minute. Éder Almeida came free with the goalkeeper in the 74th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Jonathan Ferrant could save by the left post. In the 77th minute, Henrique Durães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Camilo Gaos hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Tomas Illescas hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Joan Queralt managed to get in a good position for a shot. LaZuli's supporters rose to their feet, but Joan Queralt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jonathan Ferrant breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, LaZuli's Joan Queralt got a free kick in the 89th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Venezuela's zone, Zachariasz Dunajski stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal and Zachariasz Dunajski tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 92 minutes, Zachariasz Dunajski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. LaZuli's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zachariasz Dunajski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Joan Queralt in the 94th minute. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Venezuela's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Henrique Durães was slow to take the kick. During this time LaZuli's players had a chance to rest. LaZuli played a much better game than Venezuela and deserved their victory. The Venezuela players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
