Eyüp Kılınç scored 1-2 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benito Sanz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 20 minutes into the game, CİMBOM FC's Eyüp Kılınç nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benito Sanz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Benito Sanz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Muhammed Kılınç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eyüp Kılınç during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th match minute, CİMBOM FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eyüp Kılınç to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Muhammed Kılınç managed to get in a good position for a shot. CİMBOM FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Muhammed Kılınç was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Benito Sanz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Efrain Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. 43 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's goal looked a bit too open when Eyüp Kılınç came free, but Benito Sanz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eyüp Kılınç stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eyüp Kılınç in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute Aaron Alcocer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Samim Akbudun saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Abel Carballo fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costa Rica's protests and gave Abel Carballo a yellow card for diving instead. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Costa Rica! 69 minutes into the game, Alan Moruga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Costa Rica's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CİMBOM FC the free kick. Alan Moruga kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Benito Sanz had great luck who in the 75thth minute grab hold of the ball when Eyüp Kılınç from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. Efe Yalavaç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. After some careless play in the Costa Rica defense, Eyüp Kılınç kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Benito Sanz. The Costa Rica fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Benito Sanz should have stopped the shot. Costa Rica's Benito Sanz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Costa Rica from getting a goal against them. Eyüp Kılınç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When İlhami Beybolat fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CİMBOM FC's protests and gave İlhami Beybolat a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when CİMBOM FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. İlhami Beybolat didn't get a good kick on the ball. Muhammed Kılınç was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. CİMBOM FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
