Luis Andino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Elazar having to interfere. Lucio Kemen kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. In the 17th match minute, Zuberbühler FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faustino Goren to maneuver through the defense. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cipriano Elazar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristian Sancho, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cipriano Elazar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristian Sancho, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Eduardo Eleder sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Zuberbühler FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Gustavo Cordaryal hit a great ball. With a little luck, Ecuador's Julio Vera got control of the ball when Natalio Bernal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Cipriano Elazar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 32nd minute of the match. 38 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Cipriano Elazar was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Daniel Zorita was the one to do the kick off. If Cristian Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Cipriano Elazar managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when Ecuador's Cristian Sancho fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Eleder in the 66th minute of the match. 68 minutes into the match, Zuberbühler FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Cipriano Elazar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cipriano Elazar made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Daniel Zorita sent off a good shot on target. A collision led to Zuberbühler FC getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Rolando Furtado hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Zorita kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Cipriano Elazar. That made the score 0-3 in the 72 minute of play. Luis Andino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 82nd minute Cristian Sancho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Elazar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Isidro Martxelin charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Isidro Martxelin the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Zuberbühler FC's goalie and right to Felix Montenegro. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Zuberbühler FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Agustín Saelices recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match was over Ecuador could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Zuberbühler FC throughout the match.
