Colombia's Pedro Manzanares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robert Wells in the 8th minute of play. 17 minutes into the game, Bernardo Sharkin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Pedro Manzanares was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 25th minute, İbrahim Efe Akarsu made a precise shot to the right of Pedro Manzanares. Colombia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Pedro Manzanares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from İbrahim Efe Akarsu, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. In the 31st play minute Axel Montenegro came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gong Ying Zheng. 1-2. Gong Ying Zheng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abram Sarmiento, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 40 played minutes VC zoetwater got a freekick which was hit by Armand De Hoef. The crowd rose to their feet as Abram Sarmiento kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gong Ying Zheng. That made the score 2-2 in the 41 minute of play. Axel Montenegro's late challenge caught a VC zoetwater's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Axel Montenegro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Colombia's Axel Montenegro got a free kick in the 45th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bernardo Sharkin to make the kick off. Bernardo Sharkin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 60th minute of the match, but Pedro Manzanares made a huge save. Gusztáv Bács struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Pedro Manzanares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for VC zoetwater. The crowd rose to their feet as VC zoetwater's Bernardo Sharkin slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Pedro Manzanares. That made the score 3-3 after 64 minutes of play. Orlando Tafalla lost his temper 68 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Colombia made a substitution. Ignacio Mastache replaced Abram Sarmiento. Colombia made a substitution. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bernardo Sharkin in the 95th minute of play forced Colombia's goalkeeper Pedro Manzanares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 96th minute of the match, İbrahim Efe Akarsu got a very nice opportunity to score, but Pedro Manzanares was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. When the match was over VC zoetwater could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Colombia throughout the match.
