Vladimir Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felix Montes in the 8th minute of play. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Marxistas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marcel Maia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute Agustín Saelices shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Costa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Pedro de Amorim. Julio Vera made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jarbas Siqueira in the 13th minute of play. Daniel Zorita took the ball and in the 19 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vladimir Costa. Vladimir Costa dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Sancho in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vladimir Costa saved Marxistas from getting behind. In the 26th minute Jarbas Siqueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Julio Vera saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jarbas Siqueira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Julio Vera tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luis Andino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Vladimir Costa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marxistas's goalkeeper Vladimir Costa, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 40 minutes into the match, Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Pedro de Amorim. 42 minutes into the game, Sandro Fontes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marxistas's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ecuador the free kick. After a rather tough play, Marxistas's Sandro Fontes got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Vladimir Costa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristian Sancho in the 43rd minute of play. Ecuador were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Marxistas's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniel Zorita took the corner. After taking down the ball on Ecuador's corner Daniel Zorita fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vladimir Costa quite easily take care of the ball. After 46 minutes of play, Ecuador's Daniel Zorita made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vladimir Costa was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Ecuador were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Marxistas's Michel de Almeida was substituted for Sandro Fontes. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for João Pedro de Amorim to strike the kick off in the second half. Vladimir Costa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristian Sancho in the 55th minute of the match. When Daniel Zorita came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Ecuador fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Zorita couldn't finish the play. Felix Montenegro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vladimir Costa having to make a save. With a little luck, Marxistas's Vladimir Costa got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 75 minutes into the match, Marxistas's goalkeeper Vladimir Costa had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Julio Vera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jarbas Siqueira in the 80th minute of the match. If Daniel Zorita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by 吕耀凡 during the 85th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Marxistas getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. 吕耀凡 hit a great ball. 吕耀凡 hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. In the 88th match minute, Marxistas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel de Almeida to maneuver through the defense. Daniel Zorita sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Felix Montes hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. Jarbas Siqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ecuador played a much better game than Marxistas and deserved their victory. The Marxistas players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
