The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Valla Fc's Antoine Lovera got control of the ball when Daniel Zorita tried to sneak it across the goal line. 6 minutes into the match, Valla Fc's goalkeeper Antoine Lovera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. In the 26th minute of the match, Daniel Zorita got a very nice opportunity to score, but Antoine Lovera was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Niklas Isaksson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Valla Fc's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Sancho came free, but Antoine Lovera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ciro Fata to strike the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Daniel Zorita in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antoine Lovera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Niklas Isaksson in the 58th minute. Valla Fc's Peter Töpfer was substituted for Ciro Fata. Antoine Lovera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Zorita in the 64th minute of the match. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antoine Lovera having to interfere. Camilo Gisbert was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 78 minutes into the match. After 78 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ecuador! 86 minutes into the game, Felix Montenegro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ecuador's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Valla Fc the free kick. After a rather tough play, Ecuador's Felix Montenegro got a free kick in the 86th minute. After 88 played minutes Valla Fc got a freekick which was hit by Niklas Isaksson. 90 minutes had been played when some careless play by Valla Fc's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Daniel Zorita was slow to take the kick. During this time Ecuador's players had a chance to rest. Felix Montenegro made a great header on Ecuador's corner, it was just that Valla Fc's Antoine Lovera managed to reach the ball for a save. Cristian Sancho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Antoine Lovera having to interfere. Valla Fc succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Ecuador had controlled the match.
