Bartosz Bobrowski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Patricio Costa got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 10th minute of the match A-laget got a corner. Venezuela's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Elof Säfström ran over to the corner to take the kick. Filippo Schiavoni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 12th minute of play. If Patricio Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 16 minutes into the game, A-laget's Paul Edström nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. A collision led to A-laget getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Walter Bergström hit a great ball. Sture Strömberg charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sture Strömberg the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 25 played minutes A-laget got a freekick which was hit by Sture Strömberg. Filippo Schiavoni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomas Illescas in the 26th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartosz Bobrowski in the 28th minute of play forced Venezuela's goalkeeper Jonathan Ferrant to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When A-laget's Bartosz Bobrowski in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Venezuela's goalie prevented a goal. When Guillermo Mariano fell near the penalty area in the 34th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Guillermo Mariano a yellow card for diving instead. A-laget's Elof Säfström shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 35th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jonathan Ferrant but with some difficulty. After 36 minutes, Jose Correa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venezuela and the A-laget players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomas Illescas in the 39th minute of play forced A-laget's goalkeeper Filippo Schiavoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rigoberto Mina kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the game, Patricio Costa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Venezuela's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave A-laget the free kick. In the 46th match minute, Venezuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patricio Costa to maneuver through the defense. Paul Edström hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tomas Illescas to make the kick off. Konrad Koprowski scored 2-0 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jonathan Ferrant, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute Paul Edström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Bartosz Bobrowski made a precise shot to the right of Jonathan Ferrant. Venezuela's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. Paul Edström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jonathan Ferrant having to interfere. 63 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Bartosz Bobrowski came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bartosz Bobrowski in the 64th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bartosz Bobrowski in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tomas Illescas who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of Filippo Schiavoni when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Tomas Illescas blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Filippo Schiavoni having to make a save. In the 74th match minute, A-laget was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walter Bergström to maneuver through the defense. A-laget's Filippo Schiavoni proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save A-laget from getting a goal against them. Salvador Gisbert was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. 84 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Paul Edström came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 85th minute, Patricio Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sture Strömberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Paul Edström might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Ferrant. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paul Edström ran back to his position shaking his head. There was no doubt that A-laget were the better team. A-laget's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
