After having played for 5 minutes, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Fernandino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carter Cattaneo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Moises Fernandino, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. After 14 minutes of play, El Salvador's Moises Fernandino made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carter Cattaneo was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 23rd minute, Arrigo Motta ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ricardo Zorita was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. James Wilson scored 2-1 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ricardo Zorita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling James Wilson in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ricardo Zorita prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th match minute, El Salvador was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Moises Fernandino to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 44 minutes, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Salvador's supporters crossed their fingers, but Moises Fernandino was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Ricardo Zorita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from James Wilson in the 51st minute of the match. In the 53rd minute James Wilson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. El Salvador's Ricardo Zorita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by James Wilson in the 56th minute of play. After a rather tough play, El Salvador's Valentino Ferrant got a free kick in the 58th minute. Ricardo Zorita made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Mazzocchi in the 69th minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Moises Fernandino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Moises Fernandino managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Salvador's supporters rose to their feet, but Moises Fernandino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carter Cattaneo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After some careless play in the Roberto baggi defense, Moises Fernandino kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Carter Cattaneo. The Roberto baggi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Carter Cattaneo should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Moises Fernandino got free with Carter Cattaneo in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 87th minute James Wilson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ricardo Zorita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arrigo Motta took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ricardo Zorita. Ricardo Zorita dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. There was no doubt that Roberto baggi were the better team. Roberto baggi's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
