Rajendran Kalra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 8th minute of the match, but Julio Vera made a huge save. Julio Vera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rajendran Kalra in the 13th minute. In the 16th minute, Subhash Paranjpe made a precise shot to the right of Julio Vera. Ecuador's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Julio Vera successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Zorita in the 25th minute of play forced PANUNDA F C's goalkeeper Anyuna Parab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Julio Vera took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Subhash Paranjpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Rajendran Kalra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristian Sancho in the 80th minute of play forced PANUNDA F C's goalkeeper Anyuna Parab to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Montenegro got free with Anyuna Parab in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Cristian Sancho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Anyuna Parab tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to PANUNDA F C getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Rajendran Kalra hit a great ball. In the 95th minute, Felix Montenegro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 97th minute, Dhillip Powar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Many of Ecuador's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ecuador may have spent more time on the ball, but PANUNDA F C were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
