The supporters of Nightmare booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abel Carballo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Norbert Kociniewski made a fantastic save in the 9th minute, when Lautaro Puig sent off a good shot on target. Costa Rica's Abel Carballo shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 11th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Norbert Kociniewski but with some difficulty. Norbert Kociniewski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliseo Noboa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Costa Rica were awarded a corner in the 18th minute after Nightmare's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Axel Tasis took the corner. In the 19th minute, Juan Rubio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Juan Rubio got the opportunity to take care of a free kick, it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball hit the crossbar and flew out of bounds. 21 minutes into the match, Nightmare's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Norbert Kociniewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Roch Kapera kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Nightmare's Norbert Kociniewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 26th minute of play. Hugo Ferrant was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 28 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute, one of Costa Rica:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Costa Rica. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Izydor Teofila in the 31st minute of play. Radomir Ciborek hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Norbert Kociniewski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lautaro Puig in the 37th minute of the match. Juan Rubio kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Izydor Teofila sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes into the match, Nightmare's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Noboa came free, but Norbert Kociniewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eliseo Noboa was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Eliseo Noboa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. After 62 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Nightmare! In the 64th minute there was a penalty for Costa Rica. Axel Tasis stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Norbert Kociniewski. 2-0. Gustaw Dziedziak kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Eliseo Noboa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Kociniewski having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Costa Rica's Alan Moruga got a free kick in the 77th minute. Bartosz Cwojdak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benito Sanz having to interfere. Aaron Alcocer's late challenge caught a Nightmare's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Aaron Alcocer helped the player get up and apologised. In the 81st minute, Aaron Alcocer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 83 played minutes Nightmare got a freekick which was hit by Wieslaw Pilitowski. Olaf Magdziarz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Izydor Teofila kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Benito Sanz. That made the score 2-1 in the 97 minute of play.
