Jonathan Ferrant was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Roger Flor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Roger Flor could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. 38 minutes into the game, PicksBattle.com's Roger Flor nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jonathan Ferrant made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Patricio Costa's late challenge caught a PicksBattle.com's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Patricio Costa helped the player get up and apologised. PicksBattle.com's David Ferran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 44th minute of play. Venezuela's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Tomas Illescas in the 45th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Tomas Illescas made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to PicksBattle.com getting a freekick after 50 minutes play. Enrique Mouricio hit a great ball. Tomas Illescas's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but David Ferran read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roger Flor, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enrique Mouricio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 68th minute Enrique Mouricio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
