Belotaurus FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Julian Murillo was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Luz Tejedor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Julian Murillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rolando Noboa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silviu Novac, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silviu Novac to make the kick off. Fanis Geronimidis made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Julian Murillo sent off a good shot on target. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Evren Yezid in the 53rd minute of the match. Belotaurus FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Erivaldo Perez in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the match, Belotaurus FC's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Fanis Geronimidis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Belotaurus FC's Fanis Geronimidis played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julian Murillo in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Belotaurus FC's goalkeeper Fanis Geronimidis, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 70 minutes into the match, Belotaurus FC's goalkeeper Fanis Geronimidis had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Milagros Fraga. Julian Murillo scored 0-2 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fanis Geronimidis, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute, Julian Murillo reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fanis Geronimidis. The goal made the score 0-3. With a little luck, Belotaurus FC's Fanis Geronimidis got control of the ball when Milagros Fraga tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Peru's Julian Murillo slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fanis Geronimidis. That made the score 0-4 after 87 minutes of play. Peru's Rafael Gallo was substituted for Julian Murillo. Peru's Antonio Tenorio was substituted for Luz Tejedor. Rafael Gallo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Peru eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
