Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Francisco Seco took the kick off in the first half of the match. Leo Franco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Maximiliano Escribano, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Leo Franco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 4th minute of play. Leo Franco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francisco Seco in the 6th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Domingo Blai managed to get in a good position for a shot. C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingo Blai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joaquin Gayoso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leo Franco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Francisco Seco in the 14th minute of play. Leo Franco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Francisco Seco went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. The audience was convinced that Francisco Seco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leo Franco was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Gisbert in the 27th minute of play forced C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goalkeeper Leo Franco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 28 minutes into the match, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goal looked a bit too open when Francisco Seco came free, but Leo Franco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leo Franco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Francisco Seco's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. In the 37th minute, Maximiliano Escribano got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Uruguay's Maximiliano Escribano got a free kick in the 40th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Maximiliano Escribano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Leo Franco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 54th minute, Javier Ospin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Joaquin Gayoso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's Leo Franco proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save C.A. BOCA JUNIORS from getting a goal against them. After 59 minutes C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jaime Cazalla who took care of the corner kick. Jaime Cazalla made a great header on Uruguay's corner, it was just that C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's Leo Franco managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 59th match minute, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prospero Avellaneda to maneuver through the defense. Domingo Blai struck a weak shot in the 64th minute. Joaquin Gayoso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A. BOCA JUNIORS. 66 minutes into the match, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's goalkeeper Leo Franco had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Francisco Seco. With a little luck, C.A. BOCA JUNIORS's Leo Franco got control of the ball when Francisco Seco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Francisco Seco's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Leo Franco firmly grabbed it by the left post. Bruno Beldad lost his temper 75 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 75th minute of the game. One of Uruguay:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of C.A. BOCA JUNIORS:s goal. Javier Ospin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Uruguay's Joaquin Gayoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Javier Ospin in the 84th minute of play. Prospero Avellaneda kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. Francisco Seco who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 89thth minute tested the skills of Leo Franco when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Maximiliano Escribano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Federico Francis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Joaquin Gayoso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 98th minute, Francisco Seco left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Uruguay fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Uruguay's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
