Thanks to some nice moves Roger Rutto could shoot a difficult shot in the 19th minute, which Julio Vera however easily saved by the left post. Ecuador's Julio Vera proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Ecuador from getting a goal against them. In the 30th minute Jogga Bandito FC were awarded a corner. Luiz Sergipano went to the cornerflag to take it. 33 minutes into the match, Roger Rutto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Julio Vera, 1-1. In the 36th play minute Patrick Vallengren came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Julio Vera. 2-1. Julio Vera made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Björn Bär sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Ecuador booed when Jogga Bandito FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Björn Bär didn't get a good kick on the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Patrick Vallengren to strike the kick off in the second half. Cristian Sancho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Tim Kalfhage made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roger Rutto in the 69th minute of play forced Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes into the match, Jogga Bandito FC's goalkeeper Tim Kalfhage had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Daniel Zorita. Julio Vera stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Patrick Vallengren's shot from short distance in the 72nd minute. Tim Kalfhage showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luis Andino, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ecuador's goalkeeper Julio Vera, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Christian Deckbergh charged in rather forcefully in the 92nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Ecuador's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Daniel Zorita in the 96th minute. Ecuador's Daniel Zorita was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Tim Kalfhage in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Jogga Bandito FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Ecuador for a fine match.
