Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) An unexpectedly hard shot by Julian Murillo in the 3rd minute of play forced Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalkeeper Ilkka Markkula to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 10th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. A well done corner resulted in Julian Murillo drilling the ball in to score 0-1 behind Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalkeeper. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Podador Raheiro in the 13th minute of the match. In the 15th minute, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Podador Raheiro ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rolando Noboa. Rolando Noboa yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Rolando Noboa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hüseyin Rahmi Toper in the 17th minute of play. Peru's attentive Alonso Berganza managed to snatch the ball when Juan Estevan Hamdorf made a throw-in in the 19th minute of the game. In the 22nd minute, Julian Murillo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Peru fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 27 minutes into the match, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goal looked a bit too open when Julian Murillo came free, but Ilkka Markkula reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Club Deportes Santa Cruz fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 29th minute. Penalty! Ilkka Markkula had in the 30thth minute some difficulties stopping Luz Tejedor's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. Ilkka Markkula didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luz Tejedor went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Eduardo Elia got a free kick in the 35th minute. After 38 minutes of play, Peru's Julian Murillo made it 1-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ilkka Markkula was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Eliseo Mina had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Jacinto Gebhard in the 42nd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Peru's Alonso Berganza. Alonso Berganza made in the 45th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Juan Estevan Hamdorf. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the match, Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goal looked a bit too open when Eliseo Mina came free, but Ilkka Markkula reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Deportes Santa Cruz made a substitution. Yan Zhi Chuan replaced Podador Raheiro. 56 minutes into the game, Juan Estevan Hamdorf threw the ball into play from the sideline. Peru's Eliseo Mina quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Ilkka Markkula proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 58th minute of the match, managed to save Club Deportes Santa Cruz from getting a goal against them. In the 60th minute of the match Peru got a corner. Club Deportes Santa Cruz's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Luz Tejedor ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ilkka Markkula took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Julian Murillo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Juan Estevan Hamdorf kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. In the 71stth minute of the game Yan Zhi Chuan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Peru's Rolando Noboa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 72 minutes into the match, Peru's Julian Murillo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ilkka Markkula narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rolando Noboa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yan Zhi Chuan in the 77th minute of the match. Joaquin Prats's late challenge caught a Club Deportes Santa Cruz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joaquin Prats helped the player get up and apologised. In the 83rd match minute, Peru was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joaquin Prats to maneuver through the defense. Joaquin Prats hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute, Marcus Edström made a precise shot to the right of Rolando Noboa. Peru's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-4. Rafael Gallo kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 88thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Club Deportes Santa Cruz's keeper Ilkka Markkula was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. 90 minutes into the game, Rafael Gallo lined in a short shot 2-5 behind a frustrated Ilkka Markkula. 93 minutes into the match, Rafael Gallo notched a goal, 2-6, to the right of Club Deportes Santa Cruz's Ilkka Markkula. Ilkka Markkula was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the final whistle sounded Peru left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Club Deportes Santa Cruz.
