Paraguay's Jacobo Nores proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Paraguay from getting a goal against them. Flavian Garcon's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 25thth minute, Jacobo Nores skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Paraguay's Jacobo Nores played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Flavian Garcon in the 30th minute of play. Benoît Lamarre made in the 31st minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Paraguay's Hector Covarrubias. Flavian Garcon recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 40th match minute, Rathmore Lime Tree was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benoît Lamarre to maneuver through the defense. Benoît Lamarre made in the 42nd minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Flavian Garcon however managed to control. Jacobo Nores made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Flavian Garcon sent off a good shot on target. Jacobo Nores made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hervé Annette in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Rathmore Lime Tree's supporters rose to their feet, but Flavian Garcon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jacobo Nores breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
