Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Axel Tasis started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Alan Moruga hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Alan Santana kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. 9 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Keenan Lusk struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for São Paulo Futebol Clube. São Paulo Futebol Clube's Gregg Benjamin got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gordon Haas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eliseo Noboa during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Drew Shultz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliseo Noboa in the 33rd minute of the match. Aaron Alcocer took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Drew Shultz. Drew Shultz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Drew Shultz made a fantastic save in the 42nd minute, when Lautaro Puig sent off a good shot on target. Lautaro Puig could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Drew Shultz made a huge save. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gordon Haas made a kick off. The Costa Rica fans' excitement grew in the 52nd match minute when Costa Rica's Axel Tasis looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. If Eliseo Noboa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, São Paulo Futebol Clube's Mel Ford got a free kick in the 60th minute. After 65 played minutes São Paulo Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Jamar Stuart. 67 minutes into the match, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Drew Shultz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Drew Shultz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Axel Tasis in the 68th minute of the match. Drew Shultz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lautaro Puig in the 71st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Axel Tasis in the 73rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Drew Shultz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 74th minute Eliseo Noboa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Drew Shultz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Lautaro Puig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Axel Tasis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. 88 minutes into the match, Nick Vazquez dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Benito Sanz, 3-2. Juan Rubio hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. The supporters of Costa Rica booed when São Paulo Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nick Vazquez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Costa Rica's zone, Keenan Lusk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Benito Sanz came out of the goal and Keenan Lusk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Costa Rica had won after a very even match.
