Spectators: 45 (Terracing: 35, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Venezuela's Tomas Illescas started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 5 minutes into the match, Venezuela's goal looked a bit too open when Valeriu Panaitescu came free, but Jonathan Ferrant reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Babbis Tapinos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomas Illescas got free with Loco Higuita in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Loco Higuita made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Tomas Illescas sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Venezuela's Tomas Illescas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Loco Higuita. That made the score 1-0 after 39 minutes of play. Venezuela's Jonathan Ferrant played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Babbis Tapinos in the 42nd minute of play. Jonathan Ferrant showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sakis Kastanos, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The audience thought a goal was coming when George Vasiloiu got free with Jonathan Ferrant in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 58th minute Valeriu Panaitescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Venezuela booed when KYRTAKIA ARE BACK!!!!!!!! was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andréas Bryngelsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Akis Papagiannopoulos took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Jonathan Ferrant made an important save on a dangerous shot by Babbis Tapinos in the 68th minute. Tomas Illescas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Loco Higuita having to interfere. Jose Correa kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Jonathan Ferrant came out of the goal in the 73rd minute to try and stop a shot by KYRTAKIA ARE BACK!!!!!!!!'s Valeriu Panaitescu. But to his dismay, Valeriu Panaitescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 83rd minute, Jose Correa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valeriu Panaitescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jose Correa's late challenge caught a KYRTAKIA ARE BACK!!!!!!!!'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jose Correa helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Venezuela's Jose Correa got a free kick in the 92nd minute. KYRTAKIA ARE BACK!!!!!!!!'s supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
