Axel Tasis charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Axel Tasis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Costa Rica getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Axel Tasis hit a great ball. In the 3rd minute, Caicedo Gorvea got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of CD Suscal booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lautaro Puig didn't get a good kick on the ball. Benito Sanz didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Caicedo Gorvea went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Caicedo Gorvea struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Suscal. After a rather tough play, CD Suscal's Ivan Echeto got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 17th minute, Costa Rica's Axel Tasis dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Benito Sanz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caicedo Gorvea in the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, CD Suscal's Bohórquez Oton got a free kick in the 35th minute. In the 39th minute, Axel Tasis left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Costa Rica fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Hugo Flayre struck a weak shot in the 43rd minute. Benito Sanz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CD Suscal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

CD Suscal's Alfonso Obarenes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 52nd minute of play. If Caicedo Gorvea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benito Sanz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caicedo Gorvea in the 60th minute of play. Eliseo Noboa's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alfonso Obarenes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. The supporters of CD Suscal booed when Costa Rica was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Alcocer didn't get a good kick on the ball. 69 minutes into the match, Bohórquez Oton notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of Costa Rica's Benito Sanz. Benito Sanz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Caicedo Gorvea took a quick shot and it went in 2-3 without a chance for Benito Sanz to make any attempt to save it. After 81 minutes of play, Costa Rica's Eliseo Noboa made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alfonso Obarenes was left in no man's land by his defense there! When León Buisan fell near the penalty area in the 84th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CD Suscal's protests and gave León Buisan a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to CD Suscal getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. León Buisan hit a great ball. CD Suscal's Alfonso Obarenes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Axel Tasis in the 92nd minute of play.
